Lonely Tracks

This might seem weird to be included with the nature photos, but I just felt it fit here best. These old tracks are part of a network of old lines that criss-crossed the northeast. Every once in a while, they get fixed up to run fall foliage trains from Utica to Saranac Lake. Most of the time, however, they're left unused and abandoned.

Mt. Arab Preserve, Adirondack State Park, Piercefield, St. Lawrence County, New York.
