I take some delight in cosplaying characters who tend to dwell in semi-obscurity, shying away from the most popular series and the most cosplayed characters. I cosplay characters generally because I am attracted to their design and their personality.

I designed this entire costume from scratch, with no patterns. The dot-dash design on the hems and sleeves was made my running red ribbon through some 120+ buttonholes. The decorative ribbons coming from the mirror are made from sandwiched layers of ribbon and fabric with the edges satin-stitched - which took two full spools of thread! The Rangu sword of courage was another new challenge for me - never had to make a prop like that before!
